It is a newly manufactured Hipersil C-Core transformer built especially for Harbach Electronics using the original Peter Dahl specifications by MagCap Engineering, LLC located in Canton, MA. The unit mounts in the same location as the original and the specifications for the transformer match the original design. NOTE: The transformer is a little taller than the original and you WILL have to modify the inner perforated cover to fit, but it is well worth the effort for the upgraded transformer performance!

FM-220 Replacement Fan & Motor for the Heathkit SB-220/SB-221 The FM-220 is a direct replacement fan and motor for the Heathkit SB-220/SB-221. The motor features "oilite" bearings for quiet operation. The motor is rated at 30% greater RPM than the original so it moves a bit more air than the original fan. This new fan and motor combination is the best defense against tube failure due to overheating. NOTE: Although the fan is molded to tight tolerances, it is advisable to balance the fan blade before final assembly. See FANBALANCE document in DOWNLOADS section for details.

FB-220 Replacement Filter Capacitor Block for the Heathkit SB-220/SB-221 The FB-220 is an upgraded replacement filter capacitor block for the Heathkit SB-220/SB-221. This product features quality computer-grade Cornell-Dubilier 220uF 450VDC electrolytic capacitors that are matched to 2% tolerance. The bleeder resistors dissipate about 30 watts less heat than the original Heathkit design so it operates a little cooler. The kit assembles into an easily-installed block.

SS-221 Soft-Start for the Heathkit SB-220/SB-221 The SS-221 limits inrush current during amplifier start-up by placing a small resistive load in series with the AC mains. The load is switched out of the circuit by the relays a few milliseconds later. The soft-start mounts inside the amplifier and safely limits inrush current to protect hard-to-find and costly-to-replace ON-OFF switches, tubes, filter capacitors and high voltage transformers.
